Hi there! My name is Emily. I am a Scottish Highland Dancer, Teacher (BATD Certifited), and Mom (my son just aged into Beginner) who is definitely not an expert on tartans. I am, however, intrigued by the seemingly endless costuming options available to competitive Scottish Highland Dancers today. This, combined, with recurring battles with insomnia over the past few years, led to the creation of this website and the accompanying Pinterest pages.

My hope for this web site is that is will be used as an educational tool for other dancers, dance teachers, and dance parents who may be deciding on their next outfit or are simply interested in learning more about costuming. I look forward to all feedback on this site, and hope it will continue to grow and improve as others point out my errors to be corrected and contribute photographs to the collection.
